Hi
This might seem like a silly question, but how do you know when to wash fleece?
I've just changed my pigs over to fleece and sweep the poos up once or twice a day to keep it clean. Is it just down to feeling how wet it is?

I have 3 pigs (but one's a young one 4 months) in a 5 x 2 C&C cage

Thanks in advance for your advice

I do the same as @Patch89 :)
If it smells or if I can look underneath and see the fleece is turning brownish (from pee and poop) then I know it's wash time. And then I sweep like twice times a day and do a quick morning+evening cleanup which just involves new hay and more sweeping.

We wash our fleece twice a week. Sometimes its a bit damp in places, sometimes it isnt, but I like a nice wednesdays and saturdays routine that fits our work rotas :) otherwise we just poop scoop daily...

We wash ours once a week but they do most of their toileting in the hay tray which gets changed every day
