Washing floor time bedding

Hi guys! Just wondering how often you guys wash floor time beddings please? Thank you so much. Just asking for opinions

I usually wash mine every 4 days. The cage fleeces get brushed off and turned every day but their floor time pen fleeces just get brushed whilst remaining in the pen. My piggies sleep in their cage and spend a good few hours each day in their pen.

For playtime fun, I change any wet fleece pads daily. The bigger pads just get a brush/shake and keep going unless wet or I decide it’s wash time. Sometimes a week, sometimes I stretch to 2 weeks.

Ultimately depends on how long the boys have used the playpen. At this time of year it’s a couple of hours every evening. In the heat of the summer they live on the floor & I treat the playpen the same as normal cage cleaning.

Thanks for the insights @Janey and @AidaB, since finding out my GPs have mites I have been rethinking all my cleaning routine. just getting paranoid about it reinfesting my GPs so would like to avoid it as much as i can x
