When P@H says wash at 30 degrees they really do mean it! I've just had to pull a pile of stuffing out of my washing machine because I washed one of their bedding cushions at 60!
I always wash my fleece bedding and 'cushions' at 60 degrees because I feel it kills off more bacteria that a cool wash, but now I know why so many of these pet beds suggest 30 on the label.
The offending article was the 'Christmas Seasonal Small Pet Bed'. The interior pad is red with a white paw print on it. The white fleece is not added on top of the red as I thought, but rather set into it. It's held in place with a piece of backing fabric and is fixed using some type of heat fuse-able fabric. Of course, at the higher wash temperature the glue softened, the white fur fabric fell away leaving a hole ... and my machine filled up with white fibre stuffing grrrr
Be warned!
