I decided that as I would be out and about today and the girls have been couped up inside due to rain and bad weather, I wont put them outside just yet but they are bored and wondered if the change of scenery would help them. So not having the option of using the run on the grass as I was not home early this morning, I put them out in the hutch which has been stood there for weeks all set up ready for when they get to move back outside.

They have hay, grass that I cut for them and food, put two hides in the bottom section and they have spent the whole time (when not eating) under the hides in the bottom section. They have not even attempted the ramp to the upstairs section where vetbed, fleece and cozies await a sleepy piggy.

I thought they would have remembered their time in the hutch from before and taken to the relocation in no time at all. I was wrong about that, its like they were when they first came inside to the huge open space of the pen (I thought the closed nature of the hutch would have been more confident building). Still it means I can give the pen a really good clean out and spruce up for them to come back in later to. And thats after I catch the little darlings out the hutch :))

The first time in new/long-time-no-see surroundings always takes some adjustment - except for the very old hands!
