When doing health checks on piggies, how do you clearly check the teeth of piggies who move a lot when you try?

@atlasandmonty Waggle a piece of their favourite veg above their heads at the side of the cage and they should climb up and stretch for it. You can usually get a glimpse of teeth when they do that.

It's impossible for us to check their back teeth so it their front ones looks okay and they're eating okay I don't worry about the back teeth.

i know this sounds weird but cos my pigs hate having their teeth checked i lie on my back on the floor, place them on my stomach and check their teeth from there lol
No it doesn’t sound weird! That’s a genius plan. Except I can’t do that because I have dogs..and they pee on me often 😬

I do this too lol.

I pet under my piggies chin and he lifts his head up and you can extend the petting so it just slightly pulls down his lip a bit and you can see there teeth, unless it's just my piggie that like an under the chin tickle

haha, this is what I do all the time! My pig can’t stand to have her teeth checked, so this is what I have to do.
