Hi all hope this doesnt sound to strange but here goes.

Willow is improving very slowly but the few times we have tried to show her how to use the water bottle again she gets frustrated. Her head sways so much she sometimes cant control it enough to "make contact" and get water. I can see how this would make her loose even more confidence and make her not want to try.

We have been using the cats large toy mouse to teach Willow how to do things again. She sleeps with it since she is on her own till she gets her strength up and loves the little mouse. Since the vet said she may have brain damage and will learn only so much again. Any advice on a water bottle? I am to scared to try a water bowl because she looses her balance and falls sometimes and I am scared she will fall into it.

Thank you.

Have you tried one of these types?

If that's no good, you can get water drippers for reptiles...A very basic idea, would be a plastic tub, with a hole in the bottom, and a piece of rubber tubing coming out of the hole. You can control the flow rate by constricting the tube, so that you just have a really slow drip rate. If you could come up with some way of collecting the excess water (my thought was something like a tray with a mesh top so that she could stand on it, but the water would collect into the tray underneath?), you could have it on a constant yet slow drip rate, and she could just sip the drips?

The most basic and cheapest commercial drippers are the big dripper and little dripper, the little dripper would probably be more than adequete.

Here's a guy demonstrating them, they're pretty simple, just ignore the stuff he says about leaves and stuff, unless you wanna use that as a way of getting more water into her! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ejRP4QZKq8[/ame]
