One of my groups of piggies is driving me mad! It dosent matter which water bottle I put in and how I slant the bottle or not, they empty it! They dont drink it all, as the news paper under the vetbed is soaking. I dont know how they are doing it but some how they empty it! Had differnt bottles but this dosent make any change at all!

Can you put some kind of vessel underneath to deal with the running?

A bottle that is fairly empty tends to leak a lot.

Well then, I guess it could remain a mystery ?/

Seeing as the newspaper under the vet bed is soaking, then it is obviously leaking out. I would recommend a glass water bottle from 'Supa pet'. They are fabulous.

But when you say they empty it, do you mean you find your bottle with no lid on? Or do you find it intact? Because if you found it intact, I'm pretty sure it is leaking.

Hope you get it sorted out x

^^^Oh I guess Wiebke just posted like a second before me! :(|) x

I had one that was obsessed with his waterbottle. I must have changed it 4 times before I realised it wasn't leaking, he was using it has entertainment. In hot weather he'd rub his bum on the nozzle to get a nice cool shower, but other times he'd just stick his tongue against the ball and let all the water run down his chin to the floor.

We found raising the bottle level helped to some extent, but we never completely stopped it.

What an enterprising and resouceful piggie you have! That made me laugh, the thought of your piggie rubbing his bum against the nozzle to get a shower. They can be so mischevious at times..

Lmao! Banana your post also made me laugh - the thought of your pig rubbing his bum on the waterbottle had me in stitches! aww! :))

thanks guys, will have to see if there is any bum rubbing going on! I know its 100% not leaking as I have 8 bottles in total and its only with this one family that make it leak!
