Water bottles

Hello! I’ve bought my guinea’s a new water bottle but I’m not sure if it’s working? They do go up to it and look like they’re drinking water, but I’m not seeing the amount of water in the bottle go down. Does anyone know how to check that it’s working properly? Thanks

Touch the spout (move the ball that sits just inside the spout) and if the water comes out on your finger then it’s working.

Hi there. If your worried about the bottle you could get a heavy bowl and fill it with water.

I use one for my girls.
I believe its easier for them to drink from and more natural.

But it needs cleaned regularly if poops get into it. Or bedding.

Same advice. Tap the spout, water will be on your finger and you'll see bubbles go up to the top of the bottle inside.

For a while, my pigs didn't seem at all interested in their bottle, so when I fed their veg, I put water in their veg bowl. After some training, they finally learnt to use the drinker.
