Hi guys
I am new here and just wanted a bit of advice.
My piggies have been used to drinking from a bowl, however this is problematic as they are forever tipping the contents all over ,leaving a wet floor.I want to get them to drink from a bottle but so far no luck, and I'm worried about them getting dehydrated ,if I remove the bowl and just leave the bottle .
Thanks

They are going to do what feels best for them
- and if that is drinking from a bowl then that is what they will do. It’s more natural for them to lick water from a bowl and some do just prefer it. It would not be a good idea to remove the bowls and only leave them with the bottles.

What type of bowls do you use? It may be better for you to experiment with different bowls than to attempt to change their preferences (which may never happen).
(My piggies do drink from bottles, I’d actually like them to drink from bowls and make my life easier (easier cleaning bowls)!). My rabbits drink from bowls and I use heavy ceramic bowls (usually with dog written on them as they are huge) which they simply cannot move or tip over

OK thanks, that makes a lot of sense will not worry about bottles and just use a larger bowl and see what happens 😊
