Water Help... Distilled Ok?

Hi I'm really confused why I need to change water daily? I'm using bottled distilled and Fiji water which is very low calcium. Tap water is out. It's old pipes. So only bottled water. Please let me know which is safest.

You should change the water daily, as guinea pigs backwash into their water, causing bits of food to end up in it.

And they can block their water spout with food too as I recently discovered to my horror.

Some evenings I sit here and I can see swirling sludge in Spike and Peanuts cage where they have spat pellet bits up inside. It's no wonder their bottles leak sometimes with all the debris stopping the valve working properly!
