watercress, spinach and rocket with red chard

bought a mixed bag of watercress, spinach and rocket but i didn't notice it had red chard in it! rolleyes

can they have red chard?
 
i just gave them half a spinach leaf and a twig of watercress for now with their usual veg as they haven't had this mixed bag of things before.

just trying to get more leafy greens into their diet.
 
Yes they can have red chard and it seems to go down quite well in my house with my greedy girls!
 
Fine to feed daily for a week, just limit how much you give. Just focus on the amounts of everything else on the weekly menu! :)

Red chard is a favourite here, shame they don't do bags of it on its own.

i do the 3x high ranges and 2x low ranges....so when they have spinach i will just give a little bit each day for the week. :)
 
Yep, sounds good. When you are feeding a food that you know is *very* high in calcium, like spinach, it's fine to give much smaller amounts of all the highs and a bit more of the low. Or you could swap one of the high foods for a low, so you're feeding 2x high and 3x low.

ok, thanks. i will give less of the spinach and miss it out on the two days they have a little bit of fruit. usually half a grape, slice of banana etc...:)
