Another thread from me, sorry about that.
One of my pigs got a watery eye today. I looked for any hay that could have injured her eye but couldnt find any. Don't really know what to do as it is most likely an injury somehow. Anyone help? I will attach a photo of her watery eye

Maybe start by bathing it gently in sterile saline solution and seeing how it looks in a couple of hours?

If it still looks watery after a wash and a rest I would get along to the vets because eyes can turn nasty quite quickly.

I agree with @Swissgreys , give it a bathe and a good look around for any debri. If it starts to look red, seem painful or shes holding it shut then see the vet.

Do you want me to give her a bath in it or drop the solution in her eye?

Just use cotton pads, dip it in the sterile saline solution then dap around the eye and the rims. You can apply a small amount of gentle pressure to allow some saline to run into the eye and rinse out any debri.

You can make the solution yourself by boiling water and letting it cool, then adding a teaspoon of salt to a cup of the water.

This will sound really stupid of me but when i dab it in her do i dab it on her eye or around it?

Also i have just boiled the water for the solition how warm should it be when i put the salt in, like room temperature?

She will automatically close her eye when you go to dab it so u are effectively dabbing on the outside, on the rims and in the corners. But if you give the pad a gentle squeeze whilst its on her eye, it should give the eye a little rinse out.

Room temperature is fine x
