My piggy Chika is not drinking any water, and of course with it being hot she is getting dehydrated. The vet has me syringing her water everyday but I don't want her to become reliant on that (as I believe she is becoming at the moment) I was wondering if people could suggest watery veg to feed her so that she is at least getting some water in her diet. I have been feeding, cucumber, tomatoes and peppers as I know these are watery.
Any body know any more?

Thank you in advance

Have you tried giving her a bowl of water? Some piggies prefer it. Cucumber and melon contain water.

Yes, we put a bowl in yesterday but she just walks through it and ignores it. Left it In and keep refreshing it in the hope that she may have a sip, but nothing yet. Melon is a good shout! Thank!

Have you tried adding a piece of lettuce or carrot to the bowl of water? It may encourage her to drink.

Chopped celery stalks are also a good source of water, and never overlook grass... Actually, all veg consists of mostly water, so it doesn't matter quite as much what you feed!

Some piggies don't drink a lot individually.
