Carried on from the Love Is thread...I just wanted to show the incredible bond my dog,Tara or Wazzle and Harvey have.

Has anyone else got a two pets with a bond?

Tara and Harvey do, I've never known a bond like it. Now Taras not too bothered by Artie, or Percy-Roo but with Harvey its lovely too see. He'll wheek and Taz will sniff through the bars to say hello, and whenever tara gets her carrot treat she'll nose the carrot at the bars of the run for Harvey too much on. Its utterly adorable.

Tara and Harvey saying 'good morning' and planning their next adventure together.

I love to see yours dogs and piggys so happy together. My dog is totally obsessed with my pigs, he can't take his eyes off them. But I dont trust him at all not to try and take a bite. I have not and never would try them together just in case but how I do wish they could be like yours :(

What lovely friends! It is great whenever it happens, but you need to be able to trust your dog.

Aww so lovely :). I have two dogs, one would love to make a guinea pig sandwich the other isn't the slightest bit interested.

With the other Guinea Pig's I had, I also had a Jack Russell who was scared of them, because one of my sisters rabbits licked his leg. He would walk into a room and scan the floor.

sigh...

Taras a rescue pup, we got her from the RSPCA when she was one year (she had puppies) and when we brought the piggies home we introduced them to wazzle very very slowly.

I do not trust whatsoever the cat, Casper, with the piggies. He tries to get his little paws in the run rolleyes

Definitely and I'd echo this too :)

pepper would love to play with my piggies, but not in a good way rolleyes so she is banned from being that close :))

oooh, I had a piggie who thought she was a dog too! Pickwick-pig and Emie-dog were best friends. She'd mope when the dog was away with my parents, follow the dog everywhere in the house, steal her bed, share her food bowl...

* she always looked so depressed when the dog wasn't around

* she used to follow the dog into the living room and once tried to go up the stairs where my mum was changing bedding and the dog had followed her. Suddenly, she heard some shimping noise and found Pickwick on the 1st step unable to go back down (we have tiles) or further up!

* Emie was a bit precious so she had a cushion on the kitchen floor (the door mat just wasn't comfy enough). It was located behind my chair and by the cage which at the time was just the tray on the floor. Pickwick would come out and climb on top of Emie, pull/eat her hair off her back until she moved and Pickwick could have the cushion to herself...

* she was also a food thief! She had given my mum's lettuces from the market a serious haircut. They'd been left in a box on the floor (with 6in sides or so) and she ate all the leasves that were poking out! and she often would go and share the dog's food (the veg based pasta things) and arrogantly would position herself between the front paws of poor Emie who not only would wait to resume eating but also lift one paw so Pickwick had enough room!

Awww, they're adorable. When I was a teenager ( a looooooooooooong time ago! ) our black great dane Tara would always babysit all of my piggies on her mat while I was cleaning out their cages. She was such a gentle giant, if she needed to move or stretch she always knew where they all were and made sure no-one got squashed! :)

I don't. Mainly because my dog tries to eat small furry things. And the fluffy tail that is attached to my neighbours shih tzu rolleyes
