They are currently destroying the organisation and thought I put into their cage :)) It has taken a couple of hours for them to come out of hiding (Buttercup in the wooden house, Cowslip under a brown paper bag of hay!) but hey are being braver now.

There is veg all over the place, hay everywhere and the wooden arch has just gone flying! Something is being chewed noisily and every so often a nose appears over the side of the cage. So I think they are doing OK. There is some quiet chatting going on.

We had a short cuddle earlier as my early 4 year old was desperate to get her hands on them and I can't believe how good they are. Teresa has done a fab job with them :) I'd love a cuddle now but I'm going to leave them be for the night.

No pictures as yet.

Thank you Teresa, it was lovely to meet you.

Gah who knew a guinea pig could be so noisy with a paper bag?! I can't hear the TV! :))

That is the good and bad thing about piggies, you spend hours laying out their cages, spacing it perfectly and giving it loads of thought then you put them in and they totally trash the place within minutes. Mind you hearing their happy squeeks and seeing their little faces makes it all worthwhile!

Glad to hear you have your girls are home, they sound wonderful and I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

They sound adorable and seem to be enjoying their new home. Know what you mean about the paper bag, have had that all night with our new addition too.

It seems the paper bag is the preferred home for the night rather than the house. They are on fleece so maybe it feels odd and they don't like it. They have plenty of hay though so I'm sure they will be OK.

Fresh food has been nibbled and both were eating hay. Mum has found the water, I'm not sure about the baby. I'm off to bed in a sec so they can get on with it!

I just hope the children will leave them alone tomorrow. They are up high but they may have to be put down at floor level so they don't pull it down. Hopefully in a day or 2 the novelty will wear off and we can all get some peace! We are out a lot tomorrow so they can settle in nicely.

Cant wait to see some pics. Love their names. It sounds as though they are settling in well. The joy of a piggie and a brown paper bag:(|)

Lovely to meet you both!

Glad all is well and the girls are making themselves at home - they were quite messy here .................rolleyes I miss them so much - they've been with me approx 3 months and it seemed strange this morning not seeing nosey Buttercups nose peeking out of their cage.

Teresa xx

They don't seem to be drinking much? I presume it isn't a worry yet. They have eaten some lettuce & other greens.

We have told Sophia after a little cuddle that they have to be left alone now for a day or 2. Buttercup seems a little bit 'Rabbit in the headlights' at the moment but Cowlsip's nose appears over the edge every so often!

I am already talking about fostering....

They're not actually 'big drinkers' generally but they both definitely drink from a bottle so I wouldn't worry - they'll drink when they're thirsty.

Fostering eh ? - you do realise that it's just a downwards slippery slope from now on .......................................:))

AWWW - buttercup and Cowslip are so beautiful! I can't wait to see how they are getting on!

Not drinking is fairly normal for the beginning; they should settle in soon.

We have wheeking from Buttercup and popcorning from Cowslip so I think they are doing OK. Cowslip seems to be bossing Buttercup around a bit which I guess is normal in a new environment. They are getting more confident tonight. I think it is a bit noisy in the daytime at the moment.

Cowslip has just been showing me her water drinking technique - she thinks they are babies bottles!

Well Teresa I'm always going to have either an empty cage or empty hutch. I suspect I could end up with a 'friends' piggies after she told me she was waiting for them to die :( They have their own hutch though.

:... your friend could be waiting for them to die for years! Go get them!

your own piggies are lovely!
