Well, where to start! Some of you might have seen my post in the introduction section of the forum. The plan was to get two baby guinea's from a local breeder today. This is not now the case and if you read on further you will find out why!
I had been looking for two girls for my two girls and it seems they are like gold-dust at the moment but anyhoo, managed to find some babies which we were planning on picking up today, but come Thurs I had a feeling in my Mummy Tummy which led me to contact the breeder......thus finding out that all of the youngsters she had got from auction were pregnant and therefore, completely unsuitable to a novice Cavie Mum like myself!
This left me in the position of having two very disappointed little girls :0 .
We thought it would just mean we would have to wait quite a while longer until we could love some piggies.......and then.........two little 1yr old girls came up for rehoming on a local pet site yesterday.
p The girls were at school so was a prime opportunity to suprise them! We went and collected the piggies, I was quite happy to take them from the situation they were in, shall we say they hadnt had alot of time spent on cleanliness or upkeep so when we got them home I spent an hour and a half scrubbing the cage out and getting it back to it's former glory and then it was time for the girls to come back from school......
OOOooooooo the excitement! xx>>> They are much loved additions to our family already and are settling in very well!
Anyway, that is our story so far, i'm sure there are going to be many more piggie tales along the way!
Thanks for reading!
