Senior Guinea Pig
Hey everyone,
It's been a while since we've been on the forum, life has been pretty hectic so I just haven't had the time to visit. I see there's lots of new faces, and some old faces to. We have some new's to share and since it's forum related I thought where better to share it.
Some of you may have seen his re-homing thread, he was being fostered by Lisa and Ali and awaiting a rescue space. Basil and me have known each other for many years, I remember the first time I saw him I thought he was awesome a mini dog. I was sad to hear that his friend had gone and of his owner's situation, heartbreaking for everyone concerned Basil was a much loved pig but sometime's we have to make the hardest choice to ensure they have the best life. His owner had to do the right thing and let him go as they weren't in a situation to take on another pig and didn't want Basil being lonely.
Shortly after hearing about Basil my own Esme past over to the bridge leaving her companion Milo a 4 year old boar on his own, after trying to find some suitable girlies. Lisa and Ali contacted me and asked me if I would consider Basil. As he was an older boar I hadn't really thought about him but thought why not it's perfect. It was the ideal scenario for everyone Basil gets his forever home, Milo get's a friend and Basil get's to stay a forum piggy.
I was apprehensive at first given the fact they are both adult male's but it seems the piggy god's where working hard in our favor and we've struck a match.
Milo and Basil are still very much bonding but as of yet we've had no problems...
I guess that mean's I should share some pictures -

Checking out the neighbour's. .

This morning, he's very much at home

Huge Thank you to Lisa and Ali - you're welcome to visit anytime. x
