Hey everyone,

It's been a while since we've been on the forum, life has been pretty hectic so I just haven't had the time to visit. I see there's lots of new faces, and some old faces to. We have some new's to share and since it's forum related I thought where better to share it.

Some of you may have seen his re-homing thread, he was being fostered by Lisa and Ali and awaiting a rescue space. Basil and me have known each other for many years, I remember the first time I saw him I thought he was awesome a mini dog. I was sad to hear that his friend had gone and of his owner's situation, heartbreaking for everyone concerned Basil was a much loved pig but sometime's we have to make the hardest choice to ensure they have the best life. His owner had to do the right thing and let him go as they weren't in a situation to take on another pig and didn't want Basil being lonely.

Shortly after hearing about Basil my own Esme past over to the bridge leaving her companion Milo a 4 year old boar on his own, after trying to find some suitable girlies. Lisa and Ali contacted me and asked me if I would consider Basil. As he was an older boar I hadn't really thought about him but thought why not it's perfect. It was the ideal scenario for everyone Basil gets his forever home, Milo get's a friend and Basil get's to stay a forum piggy.

I was apprehensive at first given the fact they are both adult male's but it seems the piggy god's where working hard in our favor and we've struck a match.

Milo and Basil are still very much bonding but as of yet we've had no problems...

I guess that mean's I should share some pictures -

Checking out the neighbour's. .

This morning, he's very much at home ;)

Huge Thank you to Lisa and Ali - you're welcome to visit anytime. x

Oh what wonderful news! I am so happy you have adopted Basil and Milo has a new friend. They look so cute together.

I am very sorry you lost Esme.

That's absolutely wonderful news Jo, am thrilled for Basil and Milo.

I am really sorry to hear about little Esme though :(

Unfortunately our little piggy friends can't stay with us forever but I'm really glad I could help another piggy, I think Esme would be happy to know Milo isn't on his own.

Esme went quickly, and didn't suffer which is what I want for all my piggies when the time comes. She'll always live on in our piggy family along with Bette and Patrick.

Little Basil was with us for only a short time but he is an awesome little character. We knew as soon as he met Milo that the piggy gods were watching over them. We are both big sops as we both have tears of joy that Basil and Milo have found each other and Basil couldn't ask for a better slave than Jo. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing more stories about their adventures.

Lisa & Ali..x

Oh oh oh! Swoon...thunk!.......

How wonderful Jo! Basil is as adorable as Milo! ...........(OK Milo..... he's "almost" as adorable as you !)

What a fantastic combination - and clearly the piggie gods were smiling on them!

Looking forward to hearing about their adventures.
Such great news!

I am so glad for all of you that Milo and Basil have bonded. It is ever so great that her beloved Basil can stay within Sandra's reach. There was certainly a piggy god hard at work somewhere!

Hi Jo - have missed you and Milo - your grids are holding up well and housing all 7 piggies - sorry to hear about Esme, but glad the handsome Milo has a friend.

I don't have the words to express how thankful I am to Lisa for fostering Basil and for suggesting him as a friend for Milo. I couldn't be happier knowing that Basil has gone to such a wonderful home and has such a lovely new friend in Milo. It was heartbreaking losing snowball, he was the first piggy to steal our hearts. Basil the second. It was so hard letting Basil go but it was the best thing for him. I am looking forward to future updates. Thanks Jo :)

Jo, I was so sorry to hear about Esme, but delighted at your new family member. And strangely enough, I was only looking at my wonderful "Patrick book" today.

That's great news about Basil and Milo, they are both real cuties! They both look very happy in the last pigture, such sweet little piggy faces!

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost Esme though.

Congrats Jo, I thought I recognised him but couldnt place him when I saw him on FB, so pleased to hear him and Milo are getting along. Basil has found the most perfect home with you and Mr Milo! Looking forward to seeing more pigtures

Unfortunately Milo and Basil fell out after two nights together, so Milo is back on his own again awaiting some new friends. Basil stayed for a short holiday before returning to Lisa and Ali's where he's being spoiled rotten - such a shame the boys decided they didn't want to be friends after all! x
