We Have Baby Hamsters!

We (Walsall RSPCA) had 4 syrian hamsters arrive via an Inspector recently, sadly they were all mixed sex groups and little Miss Buttercup surprised us with a litter of 9 babies! The babies were 2 weeks old yesterday, they have just started coming out their nest and today i noticed their eyes are beginning to open :love:

All the hamsters will soon be looking for forever homes :)
 
So cute. I hope they find a lovely home. Hamsters are illegal where I live, but seeing their cute little faces makes me wish I could have one :wub:

Because they're vicious fluff monsters who will brain wash everyone with their cute beady eyes and take over the world! :D

Actually, it's because they're a threat to the ecosystem. If they were introduced and escaped into the wild, they would thrive in the conditions (hot and arid like their natural habitat). Gerbils, degus and chinchillas are also not allowed in the country :soz:

:xd: hamsters will rule the world! That makes sense, it's still strange though, I can imagine a prison conversation... 'What are you in here for?'... 'Murder, you?'...'Hamster dealing.'
 
oh my goodness! How very adorable! I adore Syrians and really really want to offer one a forever home but OH is saying no more pets at the moment. Apparently 4 piggies and a gecko is enough :(
