We have lost Wilma already

My daughter rescued 2 piggies from the blue cross about 6 weeks ago. They were 5 and 3 so we knew they were older. Sadly on Friday Wilma seemed unwell so I told her she should get to the vet asap (she is at uni in Lincoln) The vet said she was hyperthermic and gave her antibiotics and pain relief. They are indoor guinea pigs, so the vet said it was her body not retaining the heat rather than the room temperature. Sadly Wilma went down hill fast and died 3 hours later. I was on video chat with my daughter the whole time and it was very distressing for everyone. Poor Wilma didn't have long in her new home, but was spoilt and very loved in that time. Wilma is on the left
