After much deliberation I decided to just 'go for it' this morning and see how Trixie and Angela would get on together. I was worried because whilst Angela has been very laid back - she is a lot bigger than Trixie.

So a neutral pen was made up in my conservatory and they were put together and - nothing. No butt sniffing, rumble strutting, nothing! I put some veggies in for them and they happily shared. Trixie had a bit of a wary eye - I think because she has been bullied she was on the look out but it was instant friendship.

After only 20 minutes I put them out in the shed in Trixie's pen together. I had added a extra bedding box just in case so they could separate and again nothing! I have seen Trixie a couple of times barge Angela out of the way but Angela just doesn't care and carrys on. 5 hours on and I am now just popping out every half hour to make sure nothing has gone wrong but they are absolutly fine!

It seems that Trixie is definatly the boss (which is what she has wanted) and Angela is happy to just go with the flow! They have shared the main bedding area together and Angela has even been popcorning around - something I hadn't seen her do yet! Trixie seems really happy to have someone with her who doesn't chase her.

I don't want to tempt fate but I am rather hopeful....... :)
 
Oh wow oh wow! Well done Beaney, Angela & Trixie. I bet you're really chuffed - glad I put that post up now, because I very nearly didn't. Congratulations x

Thanks everyone. I am so chuffed. They have just had their breakfast and they are getting on really well. Actually saw them snuggling up to each other as well!

Hils - There are some pictures of their feeding time last night in the Photo Gallery. Thanks for posting that freeads link - Angela now has her forever home with me. The way that she and Trixie just instantly hit it off - it was almost like fate that I offered to do the piggy run ;) :)
 
I am a great believer in fate, I'm really chuffed for you - its so nice when it goes well.

I felt the same about when I got boyfriend Spud for Sylvie.

Will take a look now at pics 8)
 
Ahh thats brilliant news I'm waiting fir Sammy to recover and then choose which of the girls he shall live with
 
I'm so happy that Trixie has found a friend at last! She has had a real rough run with cagemates so I'm thrilled that fate stepped in and she now has a best pal to share with.
