Yesterday's bonding went well between Caspy and Nugget. They are going to be a bit of a handful together. I was going to leave them in the bonding pen overnight and see how they were this morning before moving them into Caspy's revamped cage. They had other ideas, while I was in the kitchen washing up they managed to bash the sides of the pen hard enough to dislodge the bull dog clips that were holding the last 2 grids together. (I do this so the grids fold up to put away). The little darlings spent the evening under the cupboard and sofa chattering to each other. Caspy usually spends the evenings free roaming and I guess wasn't prepared to give that up. Caspy lead Nugget back to his cage at veggie/bed time after a lot of bag rustling from me. This morning they rattled the cage until I opened it up and let them out, they have been running around all day calling to each other, follow the leader style. They go home every now and again for hay and a drink, late morning they went into their hidies for a sleep. This evening as I type they are running over my bare feet backwards and forwards, a great game. Nugget has the abytude I've been missing in bucket loads, he doesn't appear to be afraid of much as long as Caspy holds his paw. He hates a tidy cage, all cage furniture must be away from the walls and is headbutted until it's in the correct position. It's wonderful to see Caspy happy with his own friend again, one whose devil may care attitude matches his own. Long may they get on so well, I await Nugget's teenage months with slight trepidation!

Aww that’s lovely! I’d love to let my boys free roam without having to be there the whole time, but with a wee dog kicking about that’ll not be possible
You'll have your hands full with those two!

I can't let them free roam if I'm not here watching @Sophie B , I need to see what they are up to. The electric cables in the living room are all in one place so we have spare C&C grids blocking them off. Caspy's a bit miffed I'm keeping the kitchen door shut at the moment, there's too many small spaces Nugget could get into and I wouldn't get him out. Caspy's never been interested in going behind things he just rushes round squeaking in great excitment, then finds his pee pad under the cupboard for a snooze.

I don’t mean totally unsupervised, just that you can watch tv or something without having to be actively engaging with them the whole time, which is what I have to do every time 😂

They sound like a handful but a delight nonetheless. I wish I could let my piggies free roam, that would be the highlight of my life...or theirs 🤣

So pleased it has gone well buddy! They look fab together. I can’t wait to hear more about this blossoming friendship and see pigture updates
