Yesterday, we had the heartbreaking decision to put Vegas to sleep. 
She was diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma 3 weeks ago and she had steroids treatment for 2 weeks. During this past 3 weeks, you would not think she was actually dying because she acted normal and was eating and running around. We are a bit glad that she only really gone bad the last 24 hours of her life, when she bacame quiet and eventually stopped eating. She told us in her own way that it's time to say goodbye.
We will miss her so much. When we adopted her as a baby, she wasn't really planned. Hubby just surprised me that he was adopting her. He always told me that he didn't want a piggy with black feet and nails because it's difficult to cut nails (I know stupid reason) but then he adopted a completely black piggy! She was such a joyful piggy. The only piggy we had that stands on her back legs and get so excited during feeding time. I'm sure I shared some video of it in my thread Pigging Out if you want to see it. Until we found her lumps in the neck 3 weeks ago, she was our healthiest piggy. We never had to take her to the vet until that time. Apart from the lice treatment last year, she has always been fine and was just usually a companion for the sick piggies (she lost 3 piggies during her life with us). She would've been 4 yrs old on July.
Thank you so much Vegas for making pigmum and pigdad's days with you so much brighter. You will never lose your place in our hearts. You are now with Sierra and Rocky (I know you just tolerated Ella when she was with you but be good to her again when you see her).
