Very true buddy. We in the Uk can get some very cold Aprils, even snow at times... so pays to stay observant
 
Can you advise when best to start putting them outside? Mine have moved from indoors to the garage ... ready for the next step back into the hutch in the garden... but as you say we get a few nice days then it's back to feeling like winter again!

I'm not sure as ours are indoor pigs. But I did see that some people were putting their pigs out in the day and back indoors at night until the weather stabilises a bit......don't know if that would be an option for you?

Not really... my hubby hates them being anywhere but the garden so once their little feet hit that hutch that will be it for the summer... I have gone over his head bringing them in last Nov so once they are out... they stay. Will leave a bit longer thx
 
Hopefully now we are into May the weather will steadily get a bit warmer and stop changing every two minutes!
 
Stick him outside chained to the hutch for a couple of nights that might change his mind. There little tootsies will get cold. :mal: For your OH. Lol

Put mine out in mid April and they have been fine. I just give them plenty of hay and they have a cuddle pouch and a waterproof cover to keep out the drafts. Also they have loved the weekends and evenings that they have been able to go out into the run!
 
they are out! put them out yesterday when the sun warmed up the hutch. been the warmest day of the year today so far so they seem to be ok. its funny though, they are back in the hutch they were first brought home to a year ago almost and I do get the impression that although the indoor home was smaller that they preferred that ? maybe its just a matter of getting used to things again
I wonder if they remember the old place haha:D
