Please be aware that some unusually low night-time temperatures compared to day-time are forecast for tomorrow night (particularly in the South East).
It may still be August but temperatures could plummet to 4-5deg C tomorrow night esepcialy in exposed and rural areas.
This is a massive and sudden environmental shock - particularly for guinea pigs currently outdoors.
Please ensure they have extra hay and covers on - the risk of developing a URI or other illness as a result of this massive temperature change is significant.

Thank you pebble.

I've put my radiator back in the shed just in case. ;)

I have got into the habit of checking the weather for the next day so I kow what to prepare for.
Definately got the heat pads on, extra fleecey's etc.
Thanks for the warning.

Mine live in the lounge in doors - should I put the central heating on overnight do you think (we are in the south west)

Thanks for the warning. Have already piled extra hay in the boy's hutch, and have a old, thick rug covering top and front of it as well. They're currently in the shed, but better to be safe than sorry.

Indoor pigs have more constant environment. It's the outdoor pigs who are at risk
