There is very strong wind forecast all across the UK tonight, in case you didn't know already. Please ensure all hutches and sheds are protected against this severe weather.
Wooden hutches that claim to be weatherproof may not be sufficient unless some kind of external weatherproof cover is used. Shower curtains make for a great D.I.Y cover. Ensure all waterproof covers are firmly secured to the hutches, you could tie them to the hutch using string so the covers cannot blow away in the strong wind. In addition to the covers, it may be a good idea to put something heavy against the fronts and sides of the hutches such as wooden/metal lawn chairs and benches. These may help protect shed doors, too.
Also ensure your piggies have plenty of warm bedding to snuggle in. Wooden/cardboard hideys covered and filled with hay are great. Newspaper is good for helping insulate hideys too, drape some over the top of pigloos, tunnels, etc. for more heat trapped in the hideys.
