It is going to get down to 2 degrees here overnight :{

Please remember to give your outdoor piggies whether they are in a hutch, shed or garage extra bedding. Mine have already got extra hay and will be getting a fleece to snuggle up in and snuggle safes in their shed.

The weather is so up and dow at the minute, it's important to keep checking for weather updates!

Very good point. I wouldn't like to be outside in some of the weather they've predicted. Brrrr!

And even if they are indoors put in some extra hay too. Don't forget snuggled in PJ's and duvets you are going to be warm but they are exposed to the room temperature.

I wish it was that warm in my neck of the woods, it's forecast to be -1 tonight for me! I've already got the heater in the shed making it nice and toasty for them. ;)

Hmmm..mine might be better outside since my heating is broken 8...

I'm covering the cages at night with fleece and heat pad case.

Heat pads are on the go and hope to have heating fixed tomorrow - phew rolleyes

Anyone know the decent temperature for in door piggies ? :red

good question lil, is there a preferred temperature for indoor piggies?
I hadn't thought about it but when it does go down that low i do always drape a fleece over the cage...but would be good to know if anyone has any pointers...

As far as I know piggies feel heat the same amount as us. So if it's too cold for you it's too cold for your piggy. If it is too hot for you it is too hot for your piggy.

Sorry I can't be more exact. Anyone got any figures?

I've always worked on the basis if I'm cold, they have to be too.

It would just be good to know. I'm sad, I've considered putting a thermometer in their room to be absolutely right.

Would be good to know.:red
