What is the tool?
My partner and I are creating a secure website 8
where a rescue and their fosterers/volunteers can log in and record all the details they need to about the guinea pigs that are in their care. It will cover all details you need to record from the guinea pig arriving to the post adoption checks. We will be making it as easy as possible (as we both have experience with making websites of these sorts as we both work in IT); if it's not easy we have done it wrong (my partner is a perfectionist so it wont be wrong for long 
)!
So far we have 5 rescues signed up (+ 1 future rescue interested too)
|), and in case there are any other rescues who would be interested I thought I'd post it on here too. It was originally posted on the PB facebook group and came out of a discussion of one rescue looking for a better way to log their guinea pig details.
Who's it for and how much will it cost (it won't!)?
Progress so far
We have create a draft outline of the information that people would like or need to record. As any website that is created is only as good as the feedback received (it make sure it really does what people need it to), we are looking for more feedback from PB recommended rescues.
Once we have collated the feedback we will send around a final version. Then we can start on the far more interesting bit of screen designs!8 We accept all and any feedback (bad and good, huge and minor) at any point in or after development.
If you are interested please send me a message, let me know which rescue you are and your name and email address and I'll send you out the outline for you to look at and provide feedback.

We really need a good name for the tool, ideally we would like it to mean something for guinea pig and rabbit rescues. I'm not creative enough to think up names, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Our current working title is Pigalogue, but this only related to Guinea Pigs.

- The website will be offered free of charge to all Piggy Bank Recommended Rescues for any rescue which involves guinea pigs.
- We will also offer it to rabbit rescues - but I haven't worked out how to determine which rescues are good, and not backstreet breeders in disguise, or are rescues that don't provide good quality care for the animals they look after.
