i have two piggies peppa 1 to 1 and a half years old and button 9months old since ive had them they have had milky wee and ive read that its ok its excess vitamin c however i was reading today that it could cause bladder stones so i got thinking about there diet and how i can reduce vitamin c maybe I'm giving them too much

is this the right thing to do?

Milky pee is excess calcium being excreted normally. It is advisable not to feed foods high in calcium too frequently, especially spinach, kale, dandelion.
Do not feed alfalfa/lucerne hay unless your piggies are under 4 months old, and even then never more than a handful in addition to their normal unlimited hay. it is very high in calcium and protein and not advisable for any but pregnant and nursing guinea pigs.

Please keep up the vitamin C - that is vital! Foods high in vitamin C are (sweet) peppers of any colour, broccoli, fresh coriander/cilantro, parsley, dill, mint or basil; feed a bit of these daily in their veg mix and vary between them.

Check powdery calcium patches for gritty bits - that could indicate bladder problems (crystals); plain powder is nothing to worry about. Guinea pigs have naturally a very alcaline urine and are more prone to bladder stone/sludge and bladder infection (UTI) problems than other animals.

i just checked all the patches there just powdery not gritty

there fed round lettuice 2 - 4 leafs romaine lettuice 2 - 4 leafs 1 whole pepper and celery 1 stick this is split between to feeds

i then change 1 of the lettuices for some brocolli or cucumber or carrot every know and again for some varriation

and they get a few sprigs of parsley a day

and unlimited hay and 2 handfuls of pellets a day
