weeeeee no have a garden but we do have grass!

They seemed to really liked it, except the grass is always greener on the other side and Aliza was trying to get Laila's grass out her mouth rolleyes- she also proceeded to delibratly plonk her bum outside the tray to pee- twice. Obviously shes didnt want to wee wee in such luscious green grass rolleyesmalletheadrolleyes
 
That looks the tastiest grass ever! x) Nom nom! Gorgeous piggies!

Whee have no garden either... I need to get something like this did you plant it yourself or buy it ready-grown? (I'm am the worlds worst gardener mallethead)

Its dead easy- get gravel trays ( about 50p each in tesco). Fill with any multi purpose compost. Sprinkle plenty of grass seed on top (I got rapid grow with seaweed froma garden centre) cover with cling film but peirce a few holes. Place in a south facing window sill. And keep moist and eh voila- grass. I am a terrible gardner as well but I felt so bad about them not being out in the sun I brought grass to them :)

Haha brilliant thanks! Will attempt this at the weekend... fingers crossed it works out better than my 'herb garden'. Ahem. rolleyes

This is a fantastic idea - we have a spacious back garden but when the grass is wet its covered in slugs and snails - i wouldn't fancy eating that! My piggies love their grass and i hate denying it them just because its wet.

Your piggies are certainly loving that :)

I have a herb garden also- they havent grown very well. Although if you grow lettuce its much much easier to grow.

The grass takes about 3 weeks to become thick and luscious. Wait until its established before letting them nom on it or it will just die. Good luck x

Because you wee wee anywhere usually ha ha ha! Honestly she lifted her mum in the air moved over about an inch and pee'd everywhere and not just a dribble, it was a delibrate aim off the grass lol. I said no, shimmied her bum over and cleared it up. Went to put the cleaning fluid away and come back and there was an even biggger pee projecting out the side of the box and a look as if to say "you interupted me the first time" mwa ha ha ha ha.
