Angel has had a weepy eye for the past few days now its both eyes. He is eating, drinking and pooing fine, not losing any weight and seems fine in himself.

I have been bathing around the eye with cool boiled water, any other ideas? Should I take him to the vets?

Thanks

Lou

try a vet as they will be able to check that there is nothing else going on.damp tea bags are good to relieve sore eyes

Definately a trip to the vet. It could be something like conjunctivitis which would need antibiotics.

My girly Izzy had the same symptoms as Angel, took her to the vets and she said she was fine, just wipe it away with some warm water. It didn't affect her at all either.

I'm taking him to the vets tonight just incase but he seems fine and is eating, drinking, pooing fine.

I took Angel to the vets last night and his teeth are fine and chest was clear, so she has given me some anti bot eye drops to help clear them. They look much better this morning only after one dose! I'm so relieved its nothing too serious.

Administring the eye drops is not an easy task!:{ Has anyone had any experience of this?

Yeah, it's not the easiest of things to do. Maybe wrap her in a towel and have her on your lap. At least she wont be able to wriggle around so much.

yep thats what I've been doing, he was fine last night but this morning, he just kept nudging his head up! I think he knew what was coming! little whatsit!rolleyes

Yes, it's so hard to get eye drops into pigs. Have one person hold her whilst you hold her eye open and squeeze in the drops.
