as you know cuddles is on anti biotics and ive been told NO VEG!

weighed them just now
cuddles has lost 4g
nipper has lost 12g

should i be worried? is it because they've had no veg?

do you think they'll make it up tomorrow with pellets?

help lol my boys are disappearing lol mallethead

Firstly- deep breath! It could be less water in their diet. Regardless I think You will need to syrine feed them. Please contact furr friends she has a network of people that can show you how to do it. Its not uncommon for piggies to loose weight with the stress of a vet trip. But being so young you will have to syringe feed.
Its not a massive loss and they will quickly start gaining again with your nursing.

Ok thanks who's fur friends?

they are eating constant tho? nuggets and hay? should i wait til tomorrow and see if they gain? or even weigh them later? i'm wondering if the extra weight they have been gaining is because they've been pigging on veg LOL so now its just pellets they wont gain so much?

they are always at water bottle drinking too.
going to get that pro biotic stuff in sec too.

OK, it could just be less water in their system. But nuggets are more calorific than veggies so realistically they should gain if they are eating more nuggets not loose.
Furry friends is our dental expert here, shes an administrator and runs a dental sanctury and she has composed a list of nationwide experienced syringe feeders that have volunteered to help our newer members.

To syringe feed though you can mush up their pellets. Pour bouling water until the pellets are covered and leave until they are soft then using water to mix to the right consistancy. You will need a 1ml syringe and cut off the end sso that it will sook up the feed. You can also add the probiotic to this- killing two birds with one stone. As they are still eating well it wont need to be as much as a very ill piggie that has stopped eating. Its just to help them through as they are obviously a little under the weather. You will need to try and get it started ASAP though.

I am sure Debbi has given her number out before on the forum somewhere- try searching for her. She also has a website that might have her contact details. Theres a thread about her new website somewhere. i woudl look for you but Ive arrived in work now.

Annaleaze - please stop panicking. I will be talking to Annaleaze today and if I feel that they require support feeding I will advise.

If in the future you can keep all your posts together in a single thread it will keep all the relevant info in one place - easier for us to keep track of what's happening and easier for you to find the right info.
