I weighed Theo tonight and he's lost 30g, he had some diarheoa due to eating too much grass and veggies...mummys fault really. Do you think thats the cause.

When you weigh weekly, whats a normal amout of weight to count as a fluctuation only.

Thanks in advance

A couple months ago our piggie was having trouble eating i weighed her and the next day she weighed around 20 grams less (i think it was 20) so we took her to the vet and she said not to worry as she may have empted her bladder or bowls, which reduces the weight. But your piggie has been unwell, but i wouldnt worry too much. Take your piggie to a vet if worried.
Don't know if this helps lol")

Any gain or loss greater than 40G is not normal... For an adult pig that is not growing or not pregnant...
If he's got mild diarrhoea the way I treat that is with activated charcoal... You can buy the capsules from holland and barrats... And just split a capsule in half and then sprinkle the powder over his pellets and take all fresh veg off them untill they have had 24 hours free from the runs...
That probably is why he's dropped weight and as long as his runs have gone now I wouldn't worrie he'll pick it up again I'm sure...

Just wanted to add that that is how I treat mild runs or soft poo... Very loose bowels and serious diarrhoea should always be treated by a vet...

It was very loose and it was cause I added loads of dried grass and he ate it all. It passed in a couple of days and got better all the time. Hes not unwell at all and bright and up begging for food.
In a panic I went and reweighed him:
Last month 956g, 5pm: 936g, now 976g, but he has had his evening veggies now.
Ok so it definatly has to be fluctuations right?
