My two pigs are both around 7 months old, give or take a couple of weeks.

Since they were ill, both of them have been gaining around 30-50gs a week. Lately it has been slowing down slightly but last week they both only put on around 15gs each. Both seem fit and healthy and eating plently.

Could this be due to them starting to reach adulthood or should I be on the look out for other signs of illness?

At what age to piggies reach adulthood and roughly what weight would you expect?

Thanks.

If the weight loss is only slowing down and not halting completely i wouldn’t be worried at all :)

I think adulthood is around 10 months to one year but i’m not sure !

Even if piggies are loosing weight, if it’s only a few grams here and there it’s nothing to really worry about, they’re probably just at a good healthy and comfortable weight now :)

Sounds about right... mine were probably full-grown at about 9 or 10 months.

Thanks guys, that's put my mind at rest.

Athough I know what their response to this would be.......... I'm certainly not feeding then enough of their favourite foods rolleyes
