Weight Gain - When does it stop

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me at approx what age GP's have reached their adult weight?

My piggies are 46 weeks old and I weigh them weekly. One of them puts on every week and one of them puts on most weeks but on the odd week she has lost some (i know this can be down to full bladder etc at time of weighing previously or may be down to the fact that the other piggy gets to the food first !).

I just really wanted to know at what age they should stop putting weight on and remain stable.

Guinea pigs reach their adult weight by about 12-15 months old, although some guinea pigs can stop growing earlier.

Towards the end, the growth should slow down. An adult piggy can weigh anything between 800-1800g, although the majority end up somewhere between 900-1300g.
