Our 2 year old piggie Biscoff has lost weight and is peeing pink pee.
When we weighed her last Saturday she was 958g, yesterday she was 913g and today she is 889g. She is still eating her hay, pellets, forage and veg the same rate as normal. When we put her back in her run yesterday after floor time she wee'd and it was pinkish. She had a bladder stone removed at the end of October, but with that she was lethargic, obviously in pain when trying to wee/poo and off her food. She is still chasing her friends around the run (I think she's in heat, she's trying to hump them too!), eating happily and drinking plenty.

My 11 year old daughter is beside herself with panic because of the bladder stone, and because she knows there is no way we can afford another vet bill like that (over £1000) again so soon.

I’m sorry to hear that.

The fact she has lost 70g in a week does mean that she in fact not eating enough hay. You need to continue with daily weight checks and step in with syringe feeding to stop any further weight loss.

It may be a UTI rather than a stone but obviously she does need a vet check done.

It would be worth checking the diet if she is having issues - ensuring you aren’t overfeeding anything high calcium. Pellets and forage count as one part of the diet so you want to make sure you aren’t overdoing things ie you may find for a bladder prone piggy that if you feed pellets then you shouldn’t feed forage or vice versa

Good luck Biscoff. I hope it’s just a UTI which will clear up with a course of antibiotics and pain meds. 🤞🏻
