Just to update the thread - I am picking little Betty up friday evening and, depending on the weather/road conditions (nasty thunderstorms forecast), will be taking her up to Debbie either that evening or saturday morning.
x

Put her next to my Dougal so he can gawp at Betty and Eva :D :luv:

From last April here's a photo with Frank on left, Marmite in the middle and Betty on the right. Marmite died in April 2014.

This is a photo from last October when I got Baby Pig. Baby is now the biggest pig.

Dougal is going to be a happy boy. He has Eva one side of him and I have set up a cage for Betty on the other side.
Bless him, he won't want to come home!
@Carina Betty is lovely :luv: she'll be fine after Simon has worked his magic on her xx

Betty has landed, and is happily having a syringe feed. Will top Dougal up too in a minute and then it's time for bed. I may manage about five hours sleep tonight! I have managed to bring Betty's appointment forward, so she will see Simon tomorrow now, instead of Monday.

That's fantastic Debbie, your care and attention for piggies is endless! xx

Well - it was a good move to bring the trip forwards and I'm really glad that Betty can be seen tomorrow by Simon as I'm not sure given the weight she lost over today that she could have waited until monday to see him. (She is extremely beautiful especially with those large dark eyes and floofy hair) What with my Crazy Carson, Beautiful Betty, Diva Eva and Delectable Dougal - there's going to be one big party going on in that room tonight methinks!

Phew - a 400mile round trip starting at 7pm this evening and ending at 2am!
Just got back to see the first thunderstorm imported from France about to make landfall at Eastbourne so now going to feed the pigs and also move them to higher ground as my house is at risk of flooding between now and saturday morning.

Really hoping Simon will "do his stuff" tomorrow and Betty will make a full recovery. Thanks to Debbie for waiting up for me to arrive (just before midnight!)

Glad she arrived safely, hope Simon can work his magic today. She's beautiful, reminds me of my Fuzzy a bit. Dougal will definitely be a happy boy.

All the very best for Betty. And amazing efforts as usual from Pebble and Debbie. But it is crazy that these mammoth trips have to happen and reliance on one vet (two including kim!). We need more vets to have this knowledge, especially as they are generally not keen on referrals or a piggie having two vets (in my experience so far) - even for a specific issue.
