I'm not unduly worried at the moment but just checking for some reassurance.
When I weighed my piggies this morning, two had lost weight. Chicago lost 10g, taking him back to just under 700g,he's about 8 months old and is the smallest of my original 3. He's still his normal self and eating well.
Bailey, one of my new boys has lost 27g. This is more concerning. It's only the second time I've weighed the new guys, but that seems a lot. Is it normal to lose a bit when moving to a new home? He's definitely the more shy of the two new boys. Bobby's weight is a couple of grams less, too but I've put that down to natural weekly variance.

Are you weighing at the same sort of time eg mid morning? My piggies do tend to fluctuate a little too but feel as long as eating, drinking etc as normal that it’s ok.

Yes, it's always Sunday morning before I feed them. It was Monday last week for the new guys though, so maybe there's something in that.

I don't think that's too alarming. 10g could be the difference from a full and empty bladder.

The new boy loosing weight might be due to change in environment also a change in diet. I find in the centre that when we get new piggies in who where on a bad diet they always loose a bit of weight Before their health/condition starts to improve and they usually balance themselves out.

That's reassuring. The reason I even mentioned Chicco is because the original three are still growing, so although 10g is a tiny amount to lose, he's usually put on 10-20g, and the other two had their biggest ever weight gains this week.

Maybe just keep an extra eye on Chicago incase he's being chased from the food etc.

Lol. Chicco is actually the one voted most likely to do the chasing. Despite his diminutive size he's the chaser, rumblestrutter, chin-offer. No chance of him getting kicked away from the food bowl, lol
