Hello,
I weighed Bella just now and realised that she was 40-60 grams under her usual 2kg weight. Is this ok?

Keep an eye on her weight, I would weigh her daily and make a note of her weight in a notebook or spreadsheet. Is she eating well and does she seem healthy? If not a health check at the vet would be helpful.

When was the last time you weighed her? Have you checked her weight in terms of overweight etc (by checking the heft as described in the guides)? 2kg is very heavy for a guinea pig so if she is a healthy size (again determined by heft not weight alone) then she may simply be a bit of a healthier weight. You need to monitor weight at the same time of day (either before or after food is usually good) as the difference between a full and empty bladder can be considerable

Goodness 2kg sounds like a lot of piggy! We have a piggy diary where we record weights weekly unless there's an illness or reason to record daily, plus events like piggies being in season and introducing piggies and illnesses and medication and foods, but maybe a vet check is a good idea...

2kg! Oh my that is a solid piggy! I though Digby was huge at 1.5kg!
