I’ll preface this by saying that I know we need a scale, so any recommendations for one would be helpful.

What is a good weight for a pig? When we got Bailey a little over a month ago she was quite skinny, could feel every bone in her back, hips and her ribs with almost no pressure. she has definitely gained weight, but I don’t want her gaining too much obviously.
she gets a healthy diet of unlimited Hay, 2tbs of pellets every other day and about a cup of fresh veggies a day.
this is a picture of her taken from above, and the side, but stretched out a bit. My daughter is worried she is getting fat (but also is worried, as we don’t know, that she could be pregnant...we have had her for about 1.5months...would we know if she was? I really don’t feel like she is, but....)
I think she looks chunky because of the way she is sitting in the above view.....thoughts? When you pet her you can still feel her back and hip bones and if you apply a little pressure her ribs.

There is no ‘ideal weight’ and it varies pig to pig. The way to tell is with heft (piggy BMI) and weighing weekly. Any digital kitchen scale will do the trick. Have a read of the guide I’ve linked below.
