Junior Guinea Pig
My lovely little man is now 798g at 12 weeks. His weight gain seems to have slown down slightly (thank god). Is he a normal weight for his age? I'm thinking he's going to be rather a large boy!

Sounds like a perfectly normal weight. My Tia was about 700g at that age, and is still only 960g ish now at 9 months. She is a very petite piggy though

Wow this really shows me my little man Billy was possibly underweight when I got him.
I got him at 9 months of age & he weighed 999g, at his most recent weigh in on Saturday he had gained 320g in the 3 and a bit months I have had him! My other pigboy is a Rex so I am used to him being fairly heavy, I wasn't expecting Billy to give him such a run for his money!
Am convinced he didn't get fed properly before I took him on.....

I think it all depends really. I guess piggies like humans grow at different rates. I think Theo is going to get quite big just because he is very long at the moment!
