Junior Guinea Pig
So I weighed poggo cause I was worried about his weight so I weighed him and he was 3lb is that normal for a 6 month guinea pig
Oops and weighed him wrong he is 813 gI have a Canadian friend that is routinely upset by our usage of measurements, both ln and Fahrenheit! Lol if it's hard for you to convert or can't on your scale just weigh in lb. and Google the conversion! Hope that helps
Wrong weight he is 813 gThat is a very high weight for a guinea pig of that size! Don't put him on a diet, but please gradually limit the amount of pellets and veg you are feeding. These two links will help you to work out whether he is overweight for his size and how much you should feed at his age. He is now over his first quick growth phase, so can be treated as an adult.

PS: Could you please tare his weight in grams. American metric pounds are not the same as UK imperial pounds. Our members are from all over the world. In order to avoid confusion and misleading advice, we prefer to stick to grams for weight measurements, as they are the same everywhere.
