my Guinea pig is slightly overweight how can I help it loose the extra weight ?

I would have thought more hay and cut down on the nuggets, and how often does he or she get out of cage/hutch time?

Would be good to share your feeding routine so a more experienced member can give some advice to help you.

You could give him extra floor time for more exercise. Or limit the amount of fattening foods such as carrot, corn on cob etc. What about pellets, how many of those is he eating?
What makes you think he is overweight? Some piggies can be quite heavy but they would not be classed as overweight

she gets 4 hours execise a day, and I looked it up online to see average guineapig weights so might not be correct but she's quite a small piggy but quite fat ( fatter than the other 2)? Thank you for the advise I will slowly cut down the amount of pelts I feed and limit the amount of fatting foods

Some piggies are just bigger.
I have a hefty girl who is usually around 1300g but she has a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, you can just about feel her ribs under all the fur, her tummy doesn’t drag and her sister was also a hefty piggy.
The vet is happy with her so I don’t worry.
Advice given about feeding is good
