My piggies are 12 weeks old, both boars. I was wondering how much they should weigh. One of them weighs 1lb 4 the other is 1lb 6. Is that about right for their age? I am not sure if they were as young as the guy told us they were when we bought them as they seem quite big.
 
1lb 6oz is around 620g, which is fair for a pig of 3-4 months. Do you weigh the boys weekly? Tracking their weight frequently should tell you a lot about the rate of weight gain and what is a normal gain/stable weight for them.
 
This is the first time I have weighed them as I saw something mentioned about weighing on here, ai never occured to me before but I will weigh them weekly as you sugest. How much is reasonable weight gain in a week?

An ounce a week tends to be the average, but anything between half an ounce and two ounces is also common. This growth rate generally continues until they are around 6 months old, then it will slow down an half an ounce a week would be more common. Some pigs are fully grown by 8 or 9 months, other continue to gain until they are over a year.

Don't worry if they don't gain anything one week; they'll usually stabilise for a bit and then start gaining again. :)
 
Rule of thumb is 2-3 ounces birth weight and a gain of one to one and a half ounces per week.
60-90gm. and 30-45gm. It is sometimes better to work in Imperial measurements. A loss of 15gm sounds worse than half an ounce.
