Had My piggy for about a month and he has gained alot weight in his belly (he drags it along the ground) he eats a cup of fresh veg / grass and has unlimited dry food everyday I think he was not properly looked after in his old home.
Could this just be I'm getting the right nutrition and gaining weight or a serious problem.

Any ideas as how to get him to exercise? He seems to sit in his Huch and not venture out much.

hello there,
my first thought is, are you sure he's a he? Perhaps he's a she and pregnant? If you're not sure try putting a pic up and we'll help :-)
otherwise the weight gain sounds sudden can you give him a good feel to make sure there's no lumps anywhere?
As to more exercise he would definitely get on better if he had a friend to live with. How old is he? With boys you should be careful matching them up so a local rescue is the best place to go for this. What size run does he have? Does he have plenty of hideys in there too to play in and help him feel safe? X x x

Yes looking at him from behind he's a boy..

I have know idea how old he is as I rescued him he was an aggressive bore so I was told to house him alone he gets 2+ hours play time with me and my bf everyday, but we are looking into maching him up with a baby male rescue.

He has plenty of space ib both cages inside and outside and plenty of tunnels, hideyholes , toys. He gets 'floor time' has the whole room to run but always chooses to sit inside his huch or darkest spot could he be depressed?

The dry food is grass mixed pellets and I don't know how to add a picture but he looks like the piggy in the first reply post what type is this?

The best way too add pictures is register with Photobucket.com. It's free.

Once you have registered, click home. There you will see a button that says "Upload". Click it and a box will appear using this box upload the pictures you would like too share.

When the upload is complete, press the save button. Then click on the picture, at the the right handside you will see a column saying 'Share This', further down it says 'IMG' click on this box it should copy the link automatically.

Click Reply here and then Right click your mouse and select paste. The link will then appear in the box, and when you have wrote your reply and are happy for us all too see. Click Submit reply like you would with a normal message.

Hope that helps, any problems just ask. :)
