Could somebody have a little look at my piggies weight chart over the last month for me please? I really can't get my head around weight (or anything else that contains numbers). We have recently started to try to introduce a new food as we were feeding the science selective and were a little worried that Sugar was looking a little plump and didn't think the alfalfa would be helping.

Sugar= 1100g-1113g-1116g-1082g
Bruce=1037g-1044g-1063g-1031g

Does that all look OK?

All looks fine to me. You're looking for any big weight loses of over 50g a week or a continued loss over several weeks as this could show signs of illness.
Small changes will be the difference between whether they've got an empty bladder or not or how long it was since they stuffed their face. :))

Looks ok to me too, I once worried when Flinn appeared 40g lighter but apparently up to 4g can be the difference between an empty or full bladder & stomach.

Those weights are perfect on a graphy you would see a zero gradient( a horizontal line roughly) so its perfect.
I have noticed that if I feed my piggies immediatly after their veggies they can be up to 80g heavier than the last weight in.

WOW! 80g Would have **** sent me rushing to the vets! lol Just goes to show how much our little furbabies gobble up!

Those weights are perfectly fine and stable; piggy weights can easily vary between 30g/1oz daily, depending on a fully/empty tummy and/or bladder.

You only need to worry if you have a sudden weight loss of over 50g/2oz or a steady small loss in weight.

Guinea Lynx gies you good rules: http://www.guinealynx.info/weigh.html

I keep a little book, with records in it just anything I notice, or if there has been any cause for medicine or what ever, and the weekly weigh in chart.
which looks like this,

date 24/3/12 31/3/12 7/4/12 +/-g

Poppy 651g 703g 731g +28g

Daisy 650g 718g 738g +20g

Maisie 509g 565g 608g +43g

The +/- bit helps me see whats going on then if I'm worried, I can go back and quickly look at all the +/-'s to see any patterns forming, for example Poppy always puts on little or no weight the week she comes into season because she spends too much time rumblestrutting and defending the best feeding bowl and sleeping spot, but the following week she makes it up, I panicked the first time this happened, but now my records show up the pattern.:)
