I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section but i couldn't find anywhere else to post it. I'm just curious about my two boys weights. I've just weighed them and Bruce is 800g and Joey is just over 700g they are both brothers and are 4 months old born on the 25th feb. Is this a good weight? i often worry about the weight of Joey he has always been a little smaller than Bruce and you can always tell he weighs less when i hold them both.I'm not sure what the ideal weight of a 4 month old guinea pig is so just curious really.

Weight is different for all piggies as they come in different shapes and sizes really.
My duo Bentley and Chester are very in different, Chester is 3lbs where as Bentley is nearly half his weight, i think thats pretty usual in pairs that there will always be one slightly heavier, there isn't to much between your boys but that could always change (:

Agree, piggy weight can vary massively from just under/just over 1kg to about 2kg and everything in between.

Really the best way to judge is not the weight but the general condition/health and shape of your piggy.

A healthy piggy should have a little belly on them that sticks out a little at the sides when they walk. Overly slim/skinny piggies generally tend to be underweight but a more common problem is excess weight in piggies. Without the correct diet, piggies can become fat/overweight and develop "fatty eye" (literally a build up of white/clear fat around the eye). This is a sign your piggy needs to lose weight - the fatty eye will not go away though once it has developed.

He eats perfectly fine and is always wheeking for his veggies so i haven't been worrying to much about it i was just wondering if it was normal to have one larger piggy he is a little bit smaller than Bruce too but they are still growing i suppose. I can't wait to see what they look like when they are fully grown but i know as soon as they are full size i'll miss them being small little bundles of fluff :p

Sounds fine to me, guinea pigs come in all different shapes and sizes, just because they're brothers doesn't mean their body shapes will be the same :) my sister and I are different sizes. As long as they are eating well and don't LOOSE weight then i shalt worry :)
