How weird is this....the last two years I've bought a real tree at Christmas and not long after getting it I have started iching all over. The doc finally decided that I'm allergic to the fungus spores from the tree so no more real trees.

A couple of days ago I started getting itchy, no itchy eyes or runny nose, just itching all over my body. I went to the doc yesterday and while she was asking me about the guinea pig, thinking I might be allergic, I mentioned that she might have a fungal infection. So now she's decided I'm allergic to the fungal spores from the guinea pig!

Ah well, at least if she ever has another fungal infection I'll know about it :))

I'm the same...!
Is it a Wierd bumpy red rash...?
I get it when any Pigs have mites or fungal... I've got three new girls in rescue at the moment who have both and I look a state after I've been handling them... :))

I've not got a spotty rash as such but my skin is slightly raised and reddish :o

Hopefully once I've treated Lily pig it should clear up!

Hope you are better soon too x

Mines a contact allergy so if I wear gloves and long sleves it doesn't really affect me... :))
Ever so useful for seemingly healthy looking pigs that actually have the start of mites or fungal... Can nip it in the bud... :))

That's strange! Careful when you pass the mushrooms in the supermarket :))

The weirdest thing I'm allergic to is physical pressure! Took 3 immunologists to diagnose that one!

Wow...!
I didn't think that was possible... Full of Wierd and wonderful things you are... :))

I'm not sure if mine is mites too, guess I'll have to wait and see if she gets them on their own to find out!

Mine is definitely an airbourne allergy, even my feet are itching @) It is handy having an early warning system though.

Wow, I didn't know you could be allergic to physical pressue either. No wonder it took 3 of them to work that one out.
