Everyone has different tastes, so do guineas.

My question is, what's the weirdest thing that your guineas eat that is good for them?
And what do they like that isn't so good?

Mine like prawn crackers, rice crispies which are ok, and nibbling on wires, which is very bad and naughty!

I am a strict piggie mummy, so they don't get anything that is not good for them!

Although I think toilet paper rolls, vine balls and, erm...the correx (that makes up part of the cage) counts!

The one food some of mine enjoy that you would not normally associate with guineas is sweet potato (peeled, uncooked).

Mine are dead keen on newspaper, kitchen roll, cardboard, etc. I try not to let them eat too much of this 'junk food' though! :)

Not sure it actually counts as 'food' but Loki has been doing some renovations on the sea grass 'Nature Hut' he uses as a bedroom. He's put a sunroof in! Anyone would think I was starting him rolleyes

I've had plastic addicts, which was not good. And some piggies that have a great time in my flower boarder - one in partucalr laid waste to my gazanias, even as far as jumping on the pot I
I kept them in the year after!

Please be aware that there is a lot of salt in prawn crackers and crispies and similar food!

ive had that too, left a plastic bag on the floor, found massive holes in it when i discovered a rustling.
yes i know theres salt, but its not often, once every coupla months when i make crispy cakes <3

where do they get these strange inklings to eat weird stuff from?
