Bitzy my supposedly smoothed haired pig is no longer completely smooth. I've never seen this before on her but I didn't think much of it as its only hair and I thought she might have just been playing with patches and Patches shifted her hair. The only thing was was when I picked her up to check nothing else was under her hair (which there wasn't) the hair didn't flatten down (the sticky up hair is on her back) the hair sticks up like a ridge back pigs hair would but not as high it's only a small area but I thought it was weird that I didn't flatten down and I don't think she likes me touching it. Her sister patches is an Abyssinian pig so I thought that maybe she might have some Abyssinian in her but I don't think that's really the case. My mum won't let me take her to the vet for obvious reasons like she thinks she's not a smoothed haired pig and all that jazz. Plus the expense as we live in the country and we only have two vets in the whole of orkney (the little islands above Scotland and below Shetland) so it would cost a fortune for a check up plus fuel for the car my mum wasn't going to drive a piggie 15miles to the vet with strange hair! But the hair is basically a Mohawk on her back longer hair than the rest of her body. It's really weird and I've never seen anything like this before.

Could she have a ridgeback? my Emma and Ellie are both smooth haired but have this and it looks like a mohawk. Called you post a photo?
