In my Guinea Pig's shed mainly! LOL
Ever since about august, Lily has had slightly greasy-ish hair, and it has gotten a bit worse. The main thing about it is that when she turns her hair on the other side parts and you can see her skin, quite a few times in a row, and especially on top of her head. At first, the spray I was using to treat mites and other things with was the main source. However, I bathed her a few weeks later on and it went, but then, started gradually coming back (whilst using the the Xeno treatment). She has no bald patches, and her hair just seems as if something has been sprayed on it and it has made it a funny texture. But, she has it on her face aswell - and I never sprayed it there.

I have been researching Cushing Diease, and now I'm pancining. Can someone tell me a little more about this diease, and what you think it could be with Lily? When I bathed her, I used Gorgeous Guineas mites shampoo, so I was thinking perhaps this and the Xeno played a part of it? Her belly is fine, and so it the area towards her bum.

Thanks guys x

I have not come across a xeno spray, so can't comment on that, but the xeno spot on makes the hair around the back of the neck greasy for a few days after it has been applied. If you are spraying her regularly, then this is possibly the cause. If the spray is getting round her face then it sounds like maybe you are applying it too liberally? Does she have recurring mites? If not, perhaps only use xeno if she shows symptoms in future?

I used a Johnson's insecticidal spray (or something), and then after a few weeks wasn't working, so bathed her with Gorgeous Guineas mites shampoo, and then applied the Xeno spot on as the vet recommended. I have stopped now with all treatments - but I have read that Xeno last for several months, so I was thinking whether it has affected her body and hair.
